Double Olympic gold medallist Jason Kenny will be making a visit to the Ginetta Factory in Garforth on Thursday 13 September, ahead of his debut in the final round of the Total Quartz Ginetta GT5 Challenge at Donington Park on 29/30 September.

Ginetta invited Team GB cyclist Kenny to join the grid for the closing round of their single-make championship – which runs in support of the British GT / F3 – after hearing the Team GB cycling stars need for speed didn't stop at two wheels.

The proud owner of a Ginetta G20 racer, Kenny will visit Ginetta's Leeds-based factory in an attempt to garner some last-minute racing advice from Ginetta chairman and Le Mans winner, Lawrence Tomlinson, whilst keen cyclist Tomlinson – who recently rode from Budapest to Vienna for charity – will no doubt be after some tips of his own.

Tomlinson said; "Ginetta are proud to welcome a fellow Northerner into our racing family; Jason Kenny is a great British role model and it's fantastic to know he also owns a great British sports car! I'll be happy to give him some racing advice, and will no doubt be picking his brains for cycling tip. Here's hoping he can do Team GB proud at Donington Park."

Kenny added golds in the men's team sprint and the individual sprint at London 2012 to the gold and silver medal he won in Beijing.
