The 70 acre Markham Vale North business/industrial park celebrated the completion of its first unit at the start of March. Ferdinand Bilstein UK, a German automotive parts manufacturer, is taking up the plot. They plan to use it to create a major national hub for their business.
The announcement is good news for the economy as it will initially create 150 new motor trade jobs. In due course an additional 250 could be created once the new hub is up and running.
The exceptionally high specification unit covers 212,771 square feet, taking up a 14.5 acre plot. It is currently in the process of being extensively fitted out. This is expected to be completed by the end of the year so the facility can become fully operational in January 2018.
The Markham Vale North site is an ideal development for businesses in the motor trade. The site offers easy access to great transport links sitting on junction 29 of the M1. The position in the heart of England means parts will be delivered faster, delivering a much higher quality service. Ferdinand Bilstein UK is already making plans for later collections and next day deliveries.
The master plan for Markham Vale North has an area reserved to create a rail freight terminal. When fully functional this will provide even more transport links for businesses on the site to take advantage of.
Creating cutting edge facilities in fantastic locations can help to stimulate the motor trade in the UK. It will help to attract businesses and provide many opportunities for them. This in turn can lead to the creation of more jobs.
