Ford’s new and exclusive Business Week will commence this Saturday 2nd of June; targeting drivers of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The New Honda Civic Type R has been said to have broken lap records across the spectrum. However, this time, the hot hatch has recorded a new lap time of 2 minutes, 53.72 seconds at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium; a new record for a production car with front-wheel drive.

This new lap time, has beaten previous lap times set by the older generation Type R back in 2016, which was a record of 2 minutes and 56.91 seconds.

The Spa-Francorchamps circuit is a track measuring around 4.35 miles, made up of seemingly fast straights, high-speed concerns. The track also features elevation changes and difficult low-speed sections.

The new generation Type R has also set two other records around the world back in 2017, at the Nurburgring Nordscleife in 7 minutes, 43.8 seconds, which is also the fastest time for any front-wheel drive production car. Along with 2 minutes 1.51 seconds at the Magny-Cours GP circuit in France.
