An exciting new development has been revealed by Ford, which features a prototype smart car window that uses vibrations to ‘illustrate’ the view to blind passengers.
From mountain views to remote country roads, an all-new, upcoming ‘Feel The View’ technology is set to be created by Ford’s Italian franchise in partnership with the tech group ‘Aedo’ in order to convert visual images in to vibrations. The concept endeavours to give the blind and partially sighted the ability to feel outside images through different vibrations.
This would include turning images in to high-contract monochrome imagery which would then be reproduced and attached to the glass using LED’s. By touching the glass, different shades will vibrate in different ferocities, specifically 225 intensities, allowing passengers to touch the scene and get the full feel of their journey.
