Ginetta will be visiting race tracks across the UK over the coming months as they take their G40R to a number of track days – and invite you to come and have a go!
As the ultimate track day car, Ginetta's 'race car for the road' comes equipped with a 200bhp Ford Duratec engine, a full MSA approved chassis and fully adjustable suspension, whilst weighing in at less than 900kg – it offers great excitement when on circuit.
Whether a track day enthusiast, experienced competitor or simply someone interested in seeing what the Ginetta G40R has to offer; Ginetta's track day invitation is extended to anyone with a road car licence.
Drivers will be coached throughout their session by Mike Simpson, Ginetta Factory Driver and Head of Sales, who said; "Ginetta are keen to bring the public closer to what we have to offer, and by inviting drivers to join us on circuit gives us the perfect platform to showcase what the G40R can do.
"We can tell people how great the cars are all day long, but in reality, the only way to really communicate this is by letting people come and have a go – which is exactly what we have set out to achieve over the coming months."
A proven racer, the G40R has enjoyed success in a number of races – in 2010 to celebrate the launch of the car, Ginetta's factory outfit, Team LNT, entered and won class honours in the Britcar 24 Hour, impressively having driven from their Leeds base to Silverstone, where they qualified, raced, won and drove home again.
Eligible for entry into a number of race series around the UK – including Ginetta's own single-make championship, the Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT5 Challenge – factory driver Mike Simpson competed and claimed victory in the MSVR Team Trophy at Cadwell Park in July 2012.
Sharing a number of characteristics with its G40 racing sibling, which can be seen in the aforementioned Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT5 Challenge as well as the Ginetta Junior Championship, don't miss out on the chance to experience the thrill of the G40R.
The next session is set to take place at Oulton Park on May 29; anyone wishing to take part should contact [email protected] for further information and to book their place.
