BMW has been focusing its attention on producing a collection of compact cars. The line-up is steadily growing and attracting consumers from other volume models of a similar size, with the increase being the strongest throughout Europe. The sales of traditional Sedans saw a slight decline, but this was more than offset by the substantial rise in sales of the X-range, which BMW has spent the last 15 years expanding. BMW has also announced a larger SU, the X7 and its intention to fill other market spaces.
