Redevelopment can secure automotive jobs

JCT600 acquired a Mercedes Benz dealership in Harrogate in April 2015. They have followed that purchase up with a £2 million investment to redevelop it. The move is being made to secure the 44 automotive jobs on the site and to create the potential for new roles in the future. A National Battery Prototype Centre could unlock 10,000 jobs

Coventry could once again become a major component of the UK automotive industry if ambitious new plans get the go ahead. At the end of May it was revealed that a plan had been put forward to create the National Battery Prototype Centre. A site on the Whitley South Technology Campus has been earmarked. Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) recently set out its plans for the UK for the next twelve months. In a time when political instability is causing some concerns, the automotive giant has shown their confidence in the area. Looking beyond passion in automotive recruitment

March marked the 10th National Apprenticeships Week, bringing together apprentices and employers from all over England. Business confidence returns to positive in the UK

The level of confidence amongst businesses in the UK was positive in the second quarter of 2017 according to the latest ICAEW Business Confidence Monitor (BCM). The data shows that the average level stood at 6.7, a huge increase from the -8.7 in Q1. This is the first time since Q2 2016 that the outlook has been good.
